Stealing Harper - review

Why, why, why Molly McAdams, do you torture me so?! If you haven't read Taking Chances yet, stop reading this NOW! Seriously. STOP! Go read that book then come back to this one.

After reading Taking Chances I was so thankful that the story was over and I wouldn't have to endure any more tragedy, tears and heartbreak. I can't believe that I actually had the courage to buy this book. So why did I read this after knowing everything that was going to happen and relive it all over again? Because I love Chase. That's why. And yes, even knowing how it ends, I cried all over again and my heart broke a little bit more.

Chase Grayson, you were taken from us too soon, without a warning, without a goodbye. I'm glad you got your goodbye in this book though I still wish things happened differently. I'm glad we got to see your side of the story and feel the love you had for Harper and the baby. She truly changed your world for the better. I think every girl reading this hates Trish for what she did to you. I personally blame her for the unexpected turn of events that prevent you from getting your happy ending. You can rest in peace now, we know how the story ends.

Molly McAdams has made me fall in love, broken my heart, shattered it to a million pieces, yet still managed to make me love her more. I'm a forever fan!

Until I Break - review

"In love, sometimes what you fear most is exactly what you need." - M. Leighton

I'm so thankful that I got a chance to read this book while it was still available! While I respect the author's rights to pull it from publication, I believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion and of course not everyone is going to like the same books. This dark and twisted novel was very daring and definitely pushed the limits.

What I loved about this book was the two broken characters Samantha Jansen and Alec Brand, their wildest fantasies and their worst nightmares all coming to life on the pages. They are both hiding something within themselves, yet are extremely intrigued by one another. Their relationship builds on trust, fear and ultimately love.

Ms. Leighton definitely took a risk on this book and it did not disappoint as far as I'm concerned. It was hot, intense, sexy and unique!

Sexy Sunday 5/19

Since I fortunately just finished Until I Break by M. Leighton, here is my Alec Brand.

Waiting on Forever - review

Waiting on Forever by Ashley Wilcox is a spin-off of Planning on Forever but can also be read as a stand alone book.

For Leah Bennett college is all about studying and working, for everyone else it's about parties and social events. Matthew Jacobs is the complete opposite of Leah. He's the big man on campus and every girls' dream guy. When he begins to have feelings for Leah, no one is more surprised than she is.

Matt and Leah have a great relationship that starts out friendly and innocent. Leah is smart and feisty and has way more character than the typical "popular" girls and exactly what Matt is looking for. I love that the big football star falls for the nerdy girl. They really compliment each other and have a sweet little love story. This book was a cute, easy read with a little bit of sass.

Because of You - Blog Tour

Because of You (Playing With Fire #2) surely did not disappoint! In my personal opinion it was way better than A Beautiful Lie.

Brady Marshall carries the weight of the world on his shoulders due to events that happened and were beyond his control as a Navy SEAL. In an effort to make amends and get his life back on track for his sister and her daughter, he takes on a job protecting a pop star princess from a stalker.

Layla Carlisle has always loved music and all she wants to do is write her own songs however, the pop star's music career is run entirely by her controlling mother. When the letters that she receives from a fan become more obsessive, Brady discovers that there is more to Layla than just a spoiled diva. Brady and Layla get to see another side of each other and are able to help one another forgive and move forward.

The characters in this book were excellent and the storyline was exciting and thrilling all at the same time. I love that Ms. Sivec can write a comedy one minute and a drama the next. Great job! Can't wait for more! Thanks for stopping by today!
