Unattainable (Undeniable #3) - review

I am so sad that I'm all caught up on this amazing series from Madeline Sheehan. Unattainable, book 3 in the Undeniable series features Cage and Tegan along with Dirty and Ellie.

This couldn't be more true for Tegan and Cage. Tegan is the daughter of club whore, Dorothy. Her entire life has revolved around the Hells Horsemen and Cage West. Their story will completely break you into a million pieces then carefully put you back together. 

We also get a deeper glimpse of Dirty in this book. He is just as broken and  may have just found the one woman who holds the glue. Though Ellie has her own demons to battle, she has found something special in Dirty.

With so much happening in this book, there is never a dull moment. The tragic, broken, raw, gritty stories will have you hooked from the beginning. If you haven't started this series, do it now. I don't know why I waited so long to read them. Once I started, I couldn't put them down! Can't wait for more from Ms. Sheehan!!

Unbeautifully (Undeniable #2) - review

Wow! This series just keeps getting better! Book number two from Madeline Sheehan's Undeniable series was just as intense as the first!

Picking up where the first book left off, this book features Ripper and Danielle (Danny) West, yes, Deuce's daughter! We also get more of Deuce, Eva and the rest of the Hells Horsemen! Danny is young, sweet and beautiful and the exact opposite of Ripper. Despite being much older, very dangerous and scarred, he's got a kind side, especially when it comes to Danny.  I absolutely love Ripper!!! The two of them share a special night that changes everything for them. It completely tore me up! I really felt for Danny and Ripper and everything they went through.

Again, this series is rough, raw, gritty and I loved every word of it! Their story was heart breaking,  gut wrenching and unbeautifully perfect!!

 Everything has beauty. Even the ugly. Especially the ugly.
Because without ugly, there would be no beauty.

I'm so excited to read Unattainable that I'm diving in now! And I get to meet the amazingly talented Madeline Sheehan this weekend! Yay!

Undeniable - review

Wow, just wow! I honestly do not know why I waited a whole entire year to start this book, or this series! It's undeniably fantastic!!!

Undeniable has a bit of a Sons of Anarchy feel to it. It's intense, raw, hardcore and completely sucked me in from the beginning. 

Prologue: Mark Twain said, “The two most important days in your life is the day you were born and the day you find out why.”
I don’t remember the day I was born, but I remember the day I found out why.
His name was Deuce.
He was my “why”.
And this is our story.
It is not a pretty one.
Some parts of it are downright ugly.
But it’s ours.
And because I believe everything happens for a reason, I wouldn’t change a thing. 

This prologue couldn't describe this book any better. It was brutal, scary and downright addicting. Deuce is a rough, tough, alpha male in every sense of the word. President of the Hells Horseman and holy hell, I loved him from the day he met the sweet, smart, 5 year old Eva Fox.

Their relationship is not easy. It's not roses and sunsets. It's one that will leave you shaking your head, ready to break something and dying for more.

I'm warning you, this book is not for the faint of heart and will leave you reeling! I'm diving into Unbeautifully now.

Safe Word - review

Okay, judging a book by the cover here, I love it! Actually reading the book, I'm a little disappointed. While I didn't hate the book, it just wasn't what I expected. Especially the title! Kidnapping, check. Hot guy, check. Good storyline, check. Sexy scenes, check. All the makings of a good book yet it just sort of fell flat for me. 

When Colt Bishop walks into a bar looking for his next victim to kidnap for ransom, he comes across the one girl from his past who got away. He takes her home and at one point she says, "I thought being kidnapped would be much more interesting". My thoughts exactly! I feel like I didn't really get to know the characters well enough. Even though I  enjoyed the flashbacks, which helped get a glimpse of their history together, everything in the book just felt rushed. Even the sex scenes:(

I'm giving this fast paced read is a decent 3.5 stars.

Walking Disaster - review

Just when I thought I couldn't love Travis Maddox any more, Walking Disaster kicks it up a notch! I loved Beautiful Disaster but hearing it from Travis makes it so much better!

Yes, it's the same story, has the same feel to it but Travis, aaaahhhhh Travis! There isn't much more to say than that. I loved everything from the prologue (which made me tear up) to the happy-ever-after epilogue. Every word, every thought, every punch, every kiss made this walking disaster even more beautiful in my eyes. I don't think I could ever get enough of Travis and Abby's story.

If you haven't read Beautiful Disaster then definitely read that one first. I was hesitant to read this because I already knew the story but I'm so glad I did. Can't believe I waited so long to read it. 5 beautiful stars!

Scars & Songs (Mad World #3) - review

After reading Scars and Songs I am definitely loving Shane Maxton even more than humanly possible!

Scars and Songs is Fall from Grace and Saving Grace retold from Shane's point of view. If you haven't read those books then you are missing out! This book adds to the already excellent series. You will love the characters and the storyline from the very beginning of time! There is so much angst, sexual tension and a holyfreakinghotness factor going on!

Shane Maxton, lead singer for Mad World is a swoon-worthy, bad boy rock star who isn't what everyone thinks he is. In this book we get to see his fall from grace, his innermost thoughts and just what he will do to get the girl he's been looking for for over 2,000 years.

A perfect ending to a phenomenal series! I dare you to not fall in love with Shane Maxton! Good luck ladies, he is heaven on Earth!

Devoured - review

So I must start off saying that I am extremely disappointed in this book. I was really hoping to Devour it! Dominant, bad boy, rock star Lucas Wolfe sounds yummy to me! Unfortunately, for some reason I just couldn't get into him. Maybe I was thrown off by the cover of this book. I've seen it before and this is the same guy on the cover of Easy. Hello other Lucas! 

So this Lucas is in the process of buying Sienna's grandmother's house which causes her to return to her hometown. When she sees Lucas again, thoughts of the past come back and she is determined to not revisit them.  Lucas will do anything to get Sienna into his bed including offering her the deed to the house for 10 days of her time.  

Not sure if there are just so many others that fit this description or if it was his relationship with Sierra but I didn't feel the electricity that pulled them together. Even though there were some hot scenes I wasn't completely Devoured by this book. Maybe I'll read the prequel, All Over You to get a glimpse of what happened between Lucas and Sienna 2 years ago in hopes that it changes my opinion of this book.

Up to Me - review

Up to Me is book 2 in the Bad Boys Series by M. Leighton and it surely did not disappoint! Cash Davenport is back!!! Twice the amount of bad boys, twice the amount of action and twice the amount of sexiness!

I absolutely fell in love with Cash & Nash in Down to You. In this book, Olivia has fallen hard for Cash regardless of his bad boy ways. Unfortunately, Cash's past has caught up with him and now his and Olivia's lives are in danger. Enter Gavin! Yum! The hotness level in this book is off the charts, especially the club scene! Holy hotness! Need a shot of whiskey now!

There are so many twists and turns right up until the last page! The very last twist has me reeling and I can't wait to read more in this series and find out what happens next!

Unleashed & Rock Me - reviews

I actually read Rock Me before I read Unleashed not realizing that they were a series. It was nice to go back and get Evan and Kelsey's story after already knowing them in book 2.

Kelsey and Evan have been close friends since college and she has always found him attractive. What she didn't know was that his feelings were mutual.  When Kesley catches her husband (who happens to be Evan's former best friend) in bed with Evan's fiance both of them are left to pick up the pieces. Since Evan has an already paid honeymoon to Hawaii, he invites Kelsey along thinking they both deserve to get away.

Of course things heat up on the island and the two end up falling in love. With the chemistry between the two of them, there is plenty of hot sex to be had!

Book 2 in the Ross Siblings series is my favorite! Brian is a hot, sexy, tattooed and pierced in all the right places ;)  Google "apradavya" if you don't know what I'm talking about!

When sweet, innocent Candace Andrews walks into a tattoo parlor for a little ink she knows that Brian is just the guy to give it to her. Although he is her cousin's ex and her family does not approve of him, she wants him anyway.  Candace is everything that is the complete opposite of Brian and she got under his skin. 

I loved this book! The story line was great and the characters were awesome. We even got a bit of Evan and Kelsey as well. The relationship between Brian and Candace is scorching hot! Bottom line, Rock Me freaking ROCKED!!!

Leave Me Breathless - review

Cherrie Lynn! Wow! I absolutely loved Brian from Rock Me and now with Ghost, Leave Me Breathless did just that, left me breathless!

Seth "Ghost" Warren, Brian's best friend and fellow tattoo artist, is just as bad boy hot as you can get! Him and Macy Rodgers are as complete opposite as they could possibly be but they have an undeniable chemistry.  Although both of them have been burned before, they are willing to work past that in order to find their forever with each other.

"He was part of a world so separate from her own it would be impossible to bridge the chasm between them. He was heavy metal. She was all country, all the time. He wouldn't belong at a rodeo, and she wouldn't belong at one of his wild concerts where they probably sacrificed live chickens or bit the heads off bats onstage." 

What a great series and this book was worth the wait! We get more of Brian and Candace in this book too which was a huge bonus. Ghost and Macy are great characters and have amazing  Hope we get more of them soon!

Vincent Boys - reviews

Abbi Glines is amazing and so is the Vincent Boys series!

Sawyer and Beau Vincent are cousins who grew up with and both happen to be in love with Ashton Gray. Sawyer and Ashton are the perfect couple and lately Ashton has had enough. When Sawyer leaves town for the summer, Beau and Ashton try to rekindle their friendship. Beau is the town bad boy and the sexiest guy that Ashton has ever seen. He is also the perfect guy to bring out her wild side! I love the relationship between Beau & Ashton. I am totally team Beau (must be my love for bad boys)!

The Vincent Boys was a perfect blend of love, romance, drama (hello love triangle!) and fun. It was a great read and the ending set up the next book brilliantly.

The Vincent Brothers was a great addition to the Vincent Boys series. 

Sawyer, who's been left heartbroken by Ashton and Beau is trying to move on with his life. When Ashton's cousin Lana comes to town Sawyer believes that hanging out with her will at least make Ashton jealous. Of course Lana has had a crush on Sawyer for years and is trying to help him move on from Ashton to her. 

Sawyer and Lana heat up the pages! They really are great characters! I loved seeing Sawyer grow up and I actually liked him so much more in this book than I did in the first.

If you haven't read any books from Abbi Glines, I strongly suggest you start now!

Untouchable Series - reviews

First off, I absolutely loved this series! All of it! I read them back to back to back and never wanted them to end.

In book one of the series, we meet heiress in hiding, Annalisa (Winslett) McKinnis.  She is an absolute bad ass and is pretty much awesome at everything. It's a little annoying after while but whatever, I loved it! When two new hotties enroll at Pensacola High, of course they both fall for her. Unfortunately, one of them is hired to kill her. Leese and Evan (aka Micah) both end up telling eachother the truth about who they really are and Micah has six weeks to finish his job or someone will kill them both.

You can feel the love and sexual tension on each page. There are so many twists and turns in this book. I honestly couldn't put it down because I was dying to know what was going to happen next.

Unforgivable was an excellent addition to the Untouchable Series!  

It picks up right where the first book left off. With Micah having left the mob, Leese and Micah believe they can finally live their life together. Unfortunately, the mob doesn't want to let go of their best hit man.
                                                     
Both Micah and Leese make some extremely unforgivable decisions in the name of love and to protect eachother. I was a complete angsty mess while reading this book. We get more of Ryan's character too (the other boy from the first book). He turns out to be a great friend to Annalisa but of course those feelings he has for her are still there.  

What a heart wrenching yet hopeful book!

Aahhhh Untraceable, the final chapter in the Untouchable Series did not disappoint. It's full of action, a lot more sex, suspense and emotional wreckage!  

The love between Micah and Annalisa is real and intense. I found myself screaming at the pages, at Micah and at the hell that was breaking loose all over! 

Luckily, we get a happy ending, a hell of a shocker and the possibility of being able to have it all over again! 

If you haven't read this series, I highly recommend it. Perfect amount of  romance, angst, heartbreak, sacrifice, family, faith and hope and love.                                                           

Down to You - review

Wow! What a great book! As if the cover didn't want to make you read it anyways! Holy hotness! This was the first book I've read by M. Leighton and let me just say that it definitely will not be my last!

Olivia Townsend is a typical farmer's daughter who is working her way through college by tending bar and she's living with her rich cousin, Marissa. Olivia is an accounting major who meets Cash, the owner of the club, Duel, while she's at a bachelorette party. And what a meeting it is! Sweet Jesus, Cash Davenport! He's like sex on a stick! And a total bad boy!

There's no denying this man is hot. Effing hot. Probably hotter than the stove he's cooking on." - M. Leighton     

And let's not forget about twin brother, Nash, who is "hotter than seven shades of hell" - M. Leighton

The problem is that Nash the good guy, the one Olivia should be with and the one who's dating her cousin. And Cash. He consumes her. Olivia wants them both and they both want her! We are left with a nice little cliff hanger which definitely keeps you wanting more!!

 

Clash (Crash #2) - review

Jude Ryder is back! I fell in love with him in Crash!

He is the quintessential bad boy, quarterback at Syracuse and head-over-heels in love with Lucy Larson. Problem is that every girl wants him including his (skanky) Spirit Sister, Adrianna Vix and she will stop at nothing to get what she wants. Lucy's insecurities take over and she needs time to figure out if her and Jude should be together. 

My problem with this book is that Lucy is constantly back and forth. She was giving me whip lash! I don't even know how Jude put up with her! I mean come on! I also felt that the story was a little rushed and would have liked a little more of her dancing, more about their first time and more of Lucy and Jude together. All in all it was a good follow up and wouldn't mind more Jude Ryder, ever!

Sea Breeze Trilogy - review

Breathe - Book #1

I totally have a toothache from reading this story!  It's super sweet and extremely corny but in a good way. 

Sadie White is a  young, responsible girl who was forced to grow up quickly because of her immature and pregnant mother. Her new summer job is to fill in for her mom as the "help" for Jax Stone, teen rock star and heart-throb! They fall in love almost instantly and are both completely smitten. She doesn't fit in to his world but they are determined to make their love work especially since she is his....air!

I wish the story was a little stronger and that Jax was a little more man! He was way too soft especially for a rock star! Sadie is beautiful and naive which is a perfect combo for Jax. All in all it was a cute story about young love. May have just been a little too young for me.

Because of Low - Book #2

Okay, I liked this book way better than the first! It wasn't as cheesy and I honestly enjoyed the characters more. 

Marcus Hardy, as we met in Breathe, is the genuine good guy. He's sweet and sexy in his own way and he's back in Sea Breeze! He meets Willow, "Low", through his new roommate, Cage York (I hope we get his book next!). Problem is that Cage believes that he is going to marry Low once he gets his playboy mentality out of the way. Both Marcus and Low are dealing with their own family issues and about halfway through this book I thought, "this can't end well".  Luckily the relationship between Marcus and Low is strong enough to survive.

 

While it Lasts - Book #3

Hands down the best of the series!!! Cage York is YUMMY!!!  Get ready to fall in love with him!

Cage has found himself working on a farm for the summer as punishment for drunk driving and to avoid losing his baseball scholarship.  The new resident bad boy meets Eva, the farmers' daughter who wants absolutely nothing to do with him.  Since Eva was a kid, she has been in a relationship with Josh, her fiance who died at war just a little over a year ago. She is still mourning the loss of him but Cage may just be the guy to help her move on.

What I really like about this series is that the writing style advances the same way the characters mature.

Sempre - review

This is a story about sacrifice... death... love... freedom. This is a story about forever. 

This is an amazing story that had me reeling long after I finished it (and also kicked of a week long "dark reads" phase even though it's not that dark). It is not your typical happy-go-lucky love story either! 

Mafia, slavery, romance, guns, love and hope tie together perfectly to make Sempre amazing! 

Haven Antonelli, a second generation sex slave, grew up terrified and abused. Carmine DeMarco is the son of a wealthy mobster who lost his mother years ago. When their lives intersect it is full of friendship, honesty, drama, love,heartbreak and sacrifice all in the quest for freedom!

I highly recommend this book and have no problem giving it 5 stars!

Beautiful Disaster - review

Let me start off by saying that I LOVE this story!!!

Abby Abernathy, the good girl gets challenged by the bad boy, walking one night stand known as Travis Maddox (start swooning girls)! He is an underground street fighter, covered in tats and rides a motorcycle! He challenges Abby to a bet that if he loses he must remain abstinent for a month and if she loses she must live with him for the same amount of time. This is a recipe for a beautiful disaster if I've ever seen one! As the month progresses so does their crazy, messed up, heart-breaking, loving relationship. Can't wait to read it again through Travis' eyes in Walking Disaster!
