Torture to Her Soul - review

I honestly could not wait for this book. It was hands down a highly anticipated follow up to Monster in his Eyes by JM Darhower only this time told from the point of view of Naz.

Ignazio Vitale. Naz. Any way you say it, it's still the same and he is still a dangerous man. I was so excited to get inside his head, even more so after the first book, and it did not disappoint.

This book was dark, twisted, full of secrets and lies and it was down right perfect! I was hooked from the very beginning and never wanted it to end!

I can't wait for more books from JM Darhower. I am definitely a fan for life!

Monster in His Eyes - review

Monster in his Eyes by JM Darhower gets my vote for best of the year so far!!! I loved everything about including Naz!

Ignazio "Naz" Vitale is your dark, sexy, powerful, dangerous man who when he meets the young (yes, 17 years younger) Karissa Reed he draws her in like a moth to a flame! Let's just say he got me too! While Karissa is a bit annoying at times, probably because of her age, it is for good reason and reminds you of the age difference. He's got secrets and he doesn't fail to let Karissa know that he's not a good man. Unfortunately, that does not stop her from falling for him. Naz seduces her, roughly, blatantly and undeniably.

“He set out to destroy me, but he fell in love with me instead. I fell in love with him, and that's what destroyed me in the end.”
J.M. Darhower, Monster in His Eyes

The end of this book hit me like a ton of bricks!  I should have seen it coming but I was so captivated by Naz that I couldn't see him for the true villain that he is. Or I just didn't want to believe it! Needless to say, I want more of him!!! Pronto!!

Sempre: Redemption - Review

First off I must say that I absolutely LOVED Sempre. It was a 5 star book hands down. And while I loved Redemption, it was nothing like I thought it would be.

I could not wait for more of Carmine and Haven. I couldn't wait to see how they moved forward in their life with Carmine as part of the "family". While it was nothing like I expected, I loved that Haven got the chance to explore her so called freedom and my heart broke for Carmine more than once.

Even with all the devastation around them, Carmine and Haven prove that a great love can last forever.

You love me."
"I do," he said. "No matter what. Sempre."

My favorite quote from the book sums it up beautifully. Their story is not one to miss.

Sempre - review

This is a story about sacrifice... death... love... freedom. This is a story about forever.

This is an amazing story that had me reeling long after I finished it (and also kicked of a week long "dark reads" phase even though it's not that dark). It is not your typical happy-go-lucky love story either!

Mafia, slavery, romance, guns, love and hope tie together perfectly to make Sempre amazing!

Haven Antonelli, a second generation sex slave, grew up terrified and abused. Carmine DeMarco is the son of a wealthy mobster who lost his mother years ago. When their lives intersect it is full of friendship, honesty, drama, love, heartbreak and sacrifice all in the quest for freedom!

I highly recommend this book and have no problem giving it 5 stars!
