Epilogue: Dark Duet #3 - review

As if The Dark Duet series couldn't get any better, we now get an amazing Epilogue which is the cherry on top! At least, for now.

Told from Caleb's point of view, this book is the perfect ending to where we left off.  It's like we just begged him to tell his story! Thankfully, Caleb likes a little begging and he's kind enough to reward us afterwards!

While this series isn't for everyone, with it's dark, twisted, intense ways, it is not one to be missed. I have said before that it's worth stepping out of your comfort zone for. If not for anything else, it's to know how incredibly talented CJ Roberts is. Writing from Caleb's point of view solidifies that. Caleb is a tortured, flawed character who is trying to find out who he is and discover his new relationship with Livvie. I love seeing how much Caleb and Livvie have grown and changed even after all they have been through. I don't want to give anything away (especially to those who haven't read the series yet) but I'd say Ms. Roberts has outdone herself on this one. If you haven't read this series then I suggest you do so, NOW.

The Dark Duet Series - review

What an amazing, intense and emotional read! Is it bad that I found it absolutely captivating? Maybe, but the characters are dark, broken and entirely intriguing!

Livvie is a young, innocent girl who had a hard life growing up, wakes up in a dark room after being taken by Caleb, a man out for revenge against a Russian sex slave trader.  He trains Livvie to be a sex slave (without compromising her virginity) by using force, torture and  physical and emotional abuse. Even though Caleb is a cruel to Livvie, she realizes that he holds her fate in his hands and she needs to trust him in order to survive. As the story progresses, so do the characters and we are taken on a highly disturbing, provocative, edge of your seat, must read!

I highly recommend that you step out of your comfort zone for this one!
4.5 stars

“I've been doing this a long time- manipulating people to get my way. That's why you think you love me. Because I've broken you down and built you back up to believe it. It wasn't an accident. Once you leave this behind..... you'll see that." -Caleb

Book 2 of the Dark Duet was even better than the first! Full of anticipation and excitement!

I don't want to give anything away but this book is completely mind-blowing and super intense. I couldn't wait to find out how everything would end with Caleb and Livvie. While reading, you are completely at the mercy of the pages. The writing style of this book was perfect and it truly grips you from the very beginning. The book was painfully heart-wrenching, shamefully erotic and utterly brilliant!
