Newly transferred to New York to play for the Mets and to be closer to Cassie, he sorted out his past but their future together is turning out to be more difficult than expected. Cassie is trying to figure out how to deal with her life with Jack and not let the paparazzi effect her. Easier said than done.
I loved The Perfect Game and while I didn't think there was a need for a second book, I loved reading more about Jack and Cassie and their struggles to remain a couple when everyone else was against them. Hearing their story from alternating points of view really helped to know what they were feeling and going through individually as well as together.
I absolutely wouldn't mind a book about Matteo or Dean and Melissa in the future!
